Survival of the Fighter – Participant Waiver and Release (UK)
Event Name: Survival of the Fighter Boxing Tournament
1. Acknowledgement of Risk
Boxing is a high-risk combat sport that involves intense physical contact. By entering this tournament, I understand that I may be exposed to serious injury including, but not limited to, bruising, cuts, broken bones, concussion, and other physical harm.
I understand that while the organisers take reasonable steps to promote safety, injury cannot be entirely eliminated, and I accept full responsibility for my participation.
2. Medical Fitness
I confirm that I am in good physical condition and have no medical issues that would make participation unsafe. I understand that I should seek medical advice before competing if I am unsure about my fitness to box.
I consent to emergency medical treatment if required during the event, and I agree to cover any related costs.
3. Rules and Equipment
I agree to:
Follow all event rules, referee instructions, and safety briefings.
Refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct or behaviour that could endanger others.
I understand that failure to comply may result in disqualification or removal from the venue without refund.
4. Release of Liability
By participating, I waive and release the organisers, sponsors, referees, volunteers, officials, and venue owners from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising out of or connected with my participation — except where caused by the organisers’ negligence or breach of duty under UK law.
This waiver does not affect any rights I may have that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Personal Property
I accept full responsibility for my own belongings at the event. The organisers are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
6. Media Consent
I give permission for the organisers to use photos, videos, or recordings of me for event promotion, social media, and marketing purposes without payment or further approval.
7. Data Protection
Personal data collected through this form will be used only for event administration, safety, and contact purposes in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
8. Declaration
